Big Summer Ahead!

It is hard to believe that Summer is just around the corner and we have a lot of fun things
planned. We can't wait to take Emma to Kennebunkport for the first time- we have not been there since I was VERY pregnant! Em will be spending her first birthday in Chicago because Rob's sales meeting will be held there this summer, I can't wait to take her around the city. As you may all recall Emma was born right in the middle of the sales meeting last year- it was a good thing it was in Boston! We have also just set a date for our childbirth group's 1 year reunion/ first birthday bash! We figured it would be much easier to have a big party together, kind of like a reunion, to celebrate the babies' first birthdays. It would be impossible to make it to each individual baby's parties. It is rare and amazing the group we have formed since meeting last May. The friendships and support really helped during that very unsure period after becoming a parent.

In other news we finally got our act together and have set a date for Emma's Baptism. We are keeping it small because we plan to really go all out for her birthday.

Em just got a sandbox from her Pop-pop and she just loves it. She doesn't eat the sand but since she puts all of the sand toys in her mouth sand inevidably ends up there.

Now that the weather is nice Emma is exploring a whole new world outdoors and it is precious to watch. She loves to touch flowers and run her fingers through the grass.
