"Ma-ket-acut"

We have had a very busy autumn season this year. The weekend after Kathy & Brian's wedding we packed up and went off to Connecticut to visit with my family as well as celebrate our boy's impending birth and Pop's birthday. To top that fun off, Emma went pumpkin picking with her Pop and took home two pumpkins, one for her, and one for her little brother (her idea). Pop said she could have any pumpkin she wanted but she wanted two small ones for her and her brother...it was sweet.

Em really enjoyed her trip to Connecticut or "ma-ket-a-cut" as she calls it. She didn't want to leave and has asked every Friday after pre-school if it is time to go back to "ma-ket-a-cut". Since we are more of a traveling circus these days we decided to stay in a local hotel so we can come and go as we please to visit friends and family, plus have a place to rest! Em loved jumping on the beds the best! On Saturday Jean had a little baby shower for me and my friends from Connecticut. It was so nice to see my friends and celebrate our growing family. Emma loved opening all of the gifts and showing them off! Later that night we celebrated Pop's 56th birthday with a pizza party. Sunday started with pumpkin picking and then back home to recover from two, long, fun weekends in a row! Emma slept quite a bit that night! (so did Mom and Dad).
