Fall fun...

Finally fall is here and we are taking advantage. Emma and I have been enjoying lovely walks around the neighborhood. We had been going out as a family for an evening walk after dinner over the past month or so but now that it is getting dark earlier I take Emma during the day.

Em loves the leaves, she loves the crunchiness of them. She is still trying to walk. She is so cautious with her walking. She will walk holding your hand or holding onto furniture and maybe take a step or two on her own but then she sits and crawls to somewhere she deems safe. I guess this is a good thing as it does cut down on bumps and bruises.

Em is now sporting 3 teeth. Two fangs and one tooth on the bottom- right in the middle. She looks like a jack-o-lantern. Maybe that will be her Halloween costume! She has a front tooth starting to show and I suspect a molar as well. She really handles it all well. Usually a frozen teething ring and some Motrin and she is fine.

In the food department- Em is proving to be a fickle eater. One day she likes something, the next she will want no part of it! The constants remain hot dogs, chicken nuggets, blueberries, strawberries, waffles/pancakes, & cheese. She does enjoy animal crackers as of late and always she loves her cheerios! Actually Em really loves cheese these days-which means I need to counter the cheese with water downed apple juice to keep her regular. Someday she will kill me for posting that tidbit of info.

Other than that, Emma is happy as ever and continues to add to her vocabulary. She is VERY verbal- like mother, like daughter!

Below are a few good shots from an apple picking expedition with the Anderson's in Concord, Ma. Em had a blast and loved the apples!

Happy Fall!
Laurie, Rob & Emma
