Our little fourteen month old is on the run. She has taken to walking quite well. She loves to hold our hand and walk along with us. She giggles the whole time! Her new mode of transportation is cruising along the furniture and coffee table. She is a trooper when she tumbles, she just gets back up and off she goes.
She just got her third tooth yesterday. I had suspected another was on it's way. She had been a tad cranky the past few nights and that is not like her. So it only took 14 months but she now has three whole teeth- Go Emma! Her lack of teeth certainly hasn't kept her from trying all kinds of new foods. Her favs these days include the usual blueberries & strawberries, waffles, cheese, hot dogs and chicken nuggets. She even gave fish sticks a try last night and it seems to go over well. Oh and green beans- she can't get enough of them! Which baffles me because I hate them!
As always, Emma is a big talker. Her vocabulary includes: mom, mama, mom-mom, dadda, dad, pop, pop-pop, kitty (even though Scat moved with Pop) and hi. In fact she will say "Hi" to anyone and everyone who will (or will not) listen. She does gab in her baby gibberish. She really thinks she is making conversation. You can tell how she uses her hands and arms and her inflections. Sometimes you can tell she is asking questions. We love her chatter!
Her reddish hair is getting longer with little curls behind her ears and by her neck. She loves to take her hair brush and "brush" her own hair. She can wear barrettes and we do try the occasional pony tail but her hair is so short it stands on end. It is still pretty cute though!
Em still loves giving out kisses and hugs- she is most affectionate. She even kisses her dolls and stuffed animals. She is such a sweet little girl. She even blows kisses. We love it!
So that's what's new in Emma's world these days!
Have a great week & Happy Fall!
Laurie, Rob & Emma
