Then we went down to the party...Em looked around and saw about fifty kids ranging in age from 5 months to 12 years old. There were so many kids we were tripping over them.

We found a seat and Emma proceeded to eat a frosting covered cookie that will now require me to take one of Rob's suits to the dry cleaner.

Then Santa came in. Now Em had met Santa already in Dad's office and was smitten with him. She decided to brave the crowds and walk up to him. She was in awe of him. That is where the niceness of this story ends. Emma was in an odd place, being too young to keep up with the older kids and being too old to sit patiently for her turn to sit with Santa. The crowd had clearly become too much and so a super breakdown ensued.

We decided that we would forgo sitting on Santa's lap and head home. Once we got in the car she was out like a light. She was all tuckered out. Very sweet, especially since she was quiet. So meeting Santa didn't go exactly as I had hoped but I think she had a pretty good time. Better luck next year! Enjoy the pics below!

Merry Christmas!
