A Long, Sweet Christmas for the Andersons

What a long few days! Once again this year we decided to travel to see friends and family for the holidays. What we didn't realize (and now have learned) that Emma could not handle all the traveling, stopping, traveling some more...she had some major meltdowns! That does not mean she didn't LOVE opening gifts. Her reactions were priceless! But first Emma and I had a visit from my Aunt Linda, Uncle Bob and cousin Katie! Emma was so excited to see them!

The day after our visit from the Zeranskis we headed off to Connecticut. Our first stop was to visit one of my oldest friends Jeannette. Emma got a very cool drum from Jeannette but Emma had the most fun playing with Jeannette!

After a few more stops, to pay our respect to my Mom, then a quick stop at Uncle Mike's' oh and some last minute shopping for Uncle Jason, we finally arrived at Nancy's in Danbury. We had the best Christmas Eve in a few years. Nancy & Dad put together a delicious dinner and lots of fun. I think we all remembered how to enjoy Christmas again and that was nice.

After a wonderful Christmas Eve and delicious Christmas morning breakfast made by my Dad we headed back to MA to visit Emma's Nana & Grampie Anderson and many other relatives for a festive day of good food, fun, and lots of presents.

Christmas Day was a tough one for Emma. She had been traveling and visiting for two days straight and with little sleep the night before we had some epic meltdowns. rob & I actually opened her gifts from the Andersons & Cunniffs because she was just too tired. Once home for the night Emma went right to bed and slept a solid 15 hours! This morning she is discovering all of her wonderful gifts all over again- The Ohhhs & ahhhs are adorable. We did make a very important decision after these long two days- We are staying home next year!

Thank you to everyone for being more than generous to us & Emma! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas & look forward to the new year!
