Happy Valentine's Day!

Emma sure has been spoiled this Valentine's Day. She seemed to get more mail than we do these days! Last week she got a package from Aunt Linda & Uncle Bob from Connecticut. They sent a sweet Valentine and a Mickey and Minnie Valentine video which she is entranced in right now. It is amazing that these cartoons stand the test of time. Not only did we watch them as kids but so did our parents. Em got Valentines from all over and even a special one from her Nana and Grampie that came with two Sesame street books- one for counting and one for ABC's. One of the books had the Cookie Monster on the cover and Emma grabbed it and exclaimed, "COOKIES, YUM, YUM, YUM"! So it is clear that Elmo has now taken a backseat to the Cookie Monster. It's cute because Cookie Monster was my absolute favorite when I was her age. My mom used to tell me how I would yell "Cookie!". Now my Em does it!

In other news Emma is getting very good at her ABC's and her 123's. She can get all the way to "D" without help and knows her numbers but sometimes jumbles them up. She loves it though. We practice in the car or while we are shopping...she is really quite good and repeating and memorizing. This too can be dangerous...she said sh*t the other day...oops.

Happy Valentine's Day,
Laurie, Rob & Emma
