Kitty-sitting

Emma has had one of her first big responsibilities this week: kitty-sitting. Neighbors of ours have taken a much needed vacation and had asked us to watch their two cats, Hadley & Camden. Emma has taken this responsibility very seriously. Last week Emma and I visited her kitty friends to learn how to take care of them. Emma gladly took her job of filling the cat's bowls full of cat food, but first she thought it best to taste the food, you know- to make sure it was ok for the kitties! After her taste test we wished our friends a good trip and went home. Sure enough the next day Emma asked about her new feline friends. "Kitties? Kitties Mama?". So off we went to feed the cats. Emma went right to work. She ran right to the kitchen where she began to fill the cat's bowls with her tiny fists. We would have been there all day so while Em fills the bowls, I change their water then go look for the cats. Emma has been waiting all day to see a glimpse of her kitties. Hadley is more bold and wants some attention so we can always expect to see him. Camden is rather shy and likes to hide under the bed covers. Once we find him though, he loves to be pet! So everyday Emma asks to see her kitties and we go, feed them and say goodbye. Emma loves it! She has taken her "job" quite seriously asking everyday until we go. Rob and I are very proud of her!
